Executive Order on Blocking Property in easy to understand format

Have you ever read a U.S. President’s executive order? Most people I’ve talked to never have read one.

Can you guess their main reason for not reading one? Many of them tell me it’s because the sentences are too long and complicated to understand. I agree with them on this point.

What if there were a way to make these long, complicated sentences easy to understand? Would you read them?

I hope you’re thinking ‘yes’ because I’ve taken one long, complicated sentence and simplified it. The sentence is taken from the executive order that talks about blocking property. Blocking property is just another way of saying ‘your government doesn’t give you permission to use something that you own.’

Dramatic Reading of the Declaration of Independence

The following video is a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence. Though some might find it boring or too lengthy for their patience, I was deeply moved by the way these professionals infused the words of this prominent founding document with passion and conviction.

Born on the Fourth of July, Son of

Why replate your leftovers?

Have you ever eaten food out of your house and NOT finished it all?

That’s happened to me. Sometimes I’m in a rush and just don’t have the time. Sometimes I just get full (it’s the “eyes are bigger than my stomach syndrome” — LOL!). And sometimes I just don’t care for the way something tastes or was prepared.

No matter what the reason, though, I’ve always done the same thing with the food that I didn’t finish eating: I’ve thrown it away.

Site links fixed

Only yesterday I became aware of a problem navigating to anything beyond the front page of this blog. With the timely assistance of my web hosting company (OCS Solutions) the problem has been identified and fixed and the site links are again working correctly.
