July 10th, 2006 · 3 Comments

red paper clipThat’s right! If you aren’t familiar with the story, please see my post Start with one red paperclip, trade up to a house. It’s pretty self-explanatory what’s going on here but I’ll fill you in with a couple of details:

  • He started this whole thing in July 2005—just a year ago!
  • It took him 14 trades to go from a single red paperclip to a house.
  • Heck, I’m gonna give it all away and steal his well-deserved glory…

If you want to get the whole scoop including details on each trade, head on over to One Red Paperclip to see for yourself!

Congratulations, Kyle! Nicely done.

I wonder if that would work with metaphysical goals: Like instead of a house, you could try to reach spiritual enlightenment.

You could start with the soul of an earthworm, and work your way up.

Well, hmm… it might work, provided you could actually produce the soul of an earthworm for the first trade ;-) LOL!

Very interesting. I got a metal paperclip & I want to trade
it for a townhouse. How do I do that?
