Your question at Dropping Knowledge could change the world!

July 1st, 2006 · 3 Comments

dropping knowledge logoSuppose you—yes, I’m referring to you, dear reader—could ask “112 scientists, social entrepreneurs, philosophers, writers, artists and activists from around the world” just one question; what would you ask?

Do you possess the presence of mind to take such an opportunity seriously? Is it possible that these 100+ people from around the world could be inspired and challenged by the thing that you ask?

I believe it’s possible. And what’s more, that possibility is coming sooner than you think:

On September 9, 2006, 112 scientists, social entrepreneurs, philosophers, writers, artists and activists from around the world will come together in Berlin, Germany, as guests of dropping knowledge.

Seated around a vast round-table in historic Bebelplatz square, these inspiring individuals, renowned for their lasting creative, social or humanistic contribution will engage with 100 questions from the global public.

-from Dropping Knowledge website.

I’m already entertaining several questions that I’m going to ask. What about you?

    Where are my car keys?

    LOL. Just kidding.

I suppose I would ask what is more important in human development: Nature or nurture.

    Hi, Paul.

Not sure if it was clear to you because of how you phrased, “I suppose I would ask….”

I would encourage you to ask by going to the website and actually submitting your question. It may already be asked, in which case you can vote for that question as among the most important to be considered (if it’s not there, you can submit your own).

I think William James would consider this a momentous occasion: one that doesn’t happen every day. That said, I encourage you (all of you dear readers out there) to visit the site and vote for, or submit, your most pressing question(s).

    Thanks!

Hey I really like this idea…I’ve been trying to get a similar thought processing on my site on my post called The ‘Round Table’ which hasn’t really taken off yet.

I submitted the following thoughts here:
    1. Recognizing the Law Of Life.
2a) ADD poverty & homelessness to human rights act.
    b) REMOVE cannabis from ALL criminal codes.
    your humble servant,
